Thirty Days of Thankfulness - the complete list


1. I am thankful for semi-spontaneous outings with the family on a weeknight. And the fact that we can actually pull them off.
2. I am thankful for the sound of shared sibling giggles from another room.
3. I am thankful for Mom, Dad, Avery, Sarah and Charles. My loving "first family."
4. I am thankful for chocolate chip cookies. Homemade.
5. I am thankful for loving where we live and knowing we are here for the long haul.
6. I am thankful that Matthew is a morning person. Or at least more of one than I am.
7. I am thankful for diet Coke.
8. I am thankful for girlfriends. Old, new, and all of those in between.
9. I am thankful for healthy children.
10. I am thankful for a dedicated playroom, with a door that closes.
11a. I am thankful for all that have sacrificed, served and continue to serve our country.
11b. I am thankful for Tar Heel basketball.
12. I am thankful for really, really great neighbors.
13. I am thankful for the partnership of my husband. His patience, love, understanding, and support continues to amaze me on a daily basis.
14. I am thankful for Fall in North Carolina.
15. I am thankful for our wonderful preschool and the teachers that nurture and teach there.
16. I am thankful for late afternoon playdates and pizza with friends.
17. I am thankful for the kind lady who forced her umbrella upon me and the nice gentleman who held his over C & G in the HT parking lot today. They reminded me that people really are good. I need to pay it forward more often.
18. I am thankful for Fridays, and the fact that - even as a stay-at-home mom - it's still my favorite day of the week.
19. I am thankful for moments of quiet.
20. I am thankful for twins and for having three children so close in age. I can't imagine our family any other way.
21. I am thankful for my minivan. Yes, I am.
22. I am thankful for Mucinex. That stuff really works!
23. I am thankful for wonderful in-laws - for the family that I married into and for my brothers-in-law that married my sisters.
24. I am thankful that my Mom is home from the hospital and that I am spending this day with my family.
25. I am thankful for Matthew. He's worth mentioning twice.
26. I am thankful for a warm and cozy home.
27a. I am thankful for Cooper.
27b. I am thankful for Graham.
27c. I am thankful for Caroline.
28. I am thankful for for the opportunity and ability to take a risk in Matthew's career. We are more than fortunate in that regard.
29. I am thankful that even at the end of a trying day, there is no place I'd rather be in life than where I am now.
30. I am thankful for this past month of reflection. Life is pretty damn good.
