Beach (May 2011)

It's been a little quiet on the blog lately. That's nothing new, of course, but I actually did write a blog post on Monday. For some reason Blogger was acting all weird and wouldn't let me save or publish it. And that was annoying.  The good news is that that particular blog post was SUPER-whiny.  It was about how hard things are with two toddlers and a 3.5 year old right now, and how Matthew was in Germany for 8 days, and even though I got take the kids to the beach for the whole week and spend time with my parents, my life is still hard.  Poor, poor me. So in a way, Blogger saved us all from that nonsense*.

The whole point, though, of that post and this post was to say that Matthew was in Germany for 8 days, and the kids and I went to the beach.  We were lucky to have beautiful weather while we were there and took advantage by spending time on the beach in front of my parents' house where Cooper waded in the water and dug for buried treasure. We played in the yard and on their back deck. And we visited a (huge!) playground that we've never been to before last week. We also visited the NC Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Despite the daily chaos, it was a fun trip, and we're looking forward to getting back there later this summer.
